Buildings, roads, green belts and bridges…all these will be shown in 3-dimension models. People will be able to walk in a virtual city. The public bidding for a 3D modeling of the city proper has been completed, which means Cixi will have its first 3D digital map.

　　The modeling in question will demonstrate the city in terms of height, position, appearance and shape by using 3D modeling. At the same time, buildings to be constructed will also be put into the modeling data, which will provide support when considering some key projects and problems.

　　The 3D modeling will cover an area of 28 square kilometers in city proper, among which building within the area of 25 square kilometers will be finely depicted. This will include city center from Dongsanhuan Road in the eastern part to Xierhuan Road in the western part and from Beisanhuan Road in the northern part to Qianying Raod in the southern part, the whole southern part region and Cultural and Business Area in the eastern part of the city.
