Statistics from Customs showed that from March 11 to April 15, the export value reached 6.73 million USD and total weight reached 2654.9 tons, increases of 13.8% and 49.3% respectively over the same period of last year.

Japan is the country which has the largest agricultural import from Cixi. Since March 11, due to th great demand after the earthquake, Cixi increased its export of vegetables to Japan. At the same time, they attached great importance to the quality of vegetable and vegetable products. Haitong Food, the largest food export company, has long regarded Japan as its major export place and established a complete sales channel to Japan. Since March 11, Haitong has made great efforts to increase its vegetable export to Japan to relieve the great demand for vegetables in Japan. By the middle of April, Haitong has exported vegetable of 2.405 million USD, an increase of 26.9% over the same period of last year.
