Town Profile:

　　Guanhaiwei Town is located in the east of Cixi, 15 kilometers from Cixi downtown and 65 kilometers from Ningbo downtown. It has a convenient traffic and a mature road network, with National Highway 329 running through the town and Shenhai Expressway passing by. It covers a total area of 145.5 square kilometers and has a population of 208,000 including a floating population of 78,000. In 2012, it realized a regional GDP of RMB 8.944 billion and an industrial output value of RMB 24.5 billion. And the financial revenue was RMB 0.889 billion. The adding value of the tertiary industry reached over RMB 2.8 billion. In Guanhaiwei Town, commercial forms are various and many businessmen tend to expand their businesses. Cixi’s Second RT-mart (in Jiarun International Commercial Plaza), Century Mecure Decoration Plaza, Ciling Hospital invested by HCA American Healthcare Group had settled down in the town. In March 2010, Guanhaiwei Town was listed as the first experimental satellite town by Ningbo Municipal Party Committee and Ningbo Municipal Government.
