Guided by the municipal government and operated in the free market, the household appliances exhibition industry in Cixi, marked by product display, trading services and collective exhibition, is gaining momentum.
Responsive to the Made in China 2025 strategy, many enterprises in Cixi, including Fotile, Bull, Cuori are now engaged in intelligent manufacturing, producing advanced household appliances such as smart dishwashers and electrical outlets and high-end ironing machines. The exhibitions in the spring and autumn of 2017 witnessed the participation of 400-plus home-grown businesses such as Fotile, Bull, Baoerma and Huazhi, as well as a batch of supporting enterprises like China Unicom, China Telecom, China Mobile, ZBJ. COM, etc. Nearly 14,000 representatives came to the exhibitions from such big names of the household appliances industry as JD.COM, Suning.COM and RT-Mart, who joined in the exhibition of water purifying equipment, the E-commerce exhibition of small household appliances among other service platforms for industrial transformation. After invited to the 13th Cixi Household Appliances Expo (CHAE) in March 2017, JD felt the city’s strengths in manufacturing and thus held a large-scale investment fair in Cixi in April, establishing partnership with over 120 manufacturers and E-commerce platforms in the household appliances industry.
In 2017, combining “bringing in” with “going global”, exhibition supporting services continued to develop. About 50 enterprises in Cixi were arranged by CHAE organizing committee to participate in 10-plus exhibitions including China-ASEAN Exposition, held in countries like China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Turkey and Thailand, exploring the market scale of household appliances in Southeast Asia and stepping up the industrial expansion in new markets.
The 14th China Cixi Household Appliances Expo is scheduled to be held on March 17-19¬, 2018. For now, organizing work is being energetically carried out, former participants like Fotile and Bull have already applied in advance and over 20 home-grown household appliances enterprises like Kadeer and Jianhui give full support to CHAE by taking part in the event. Zhang Quanwen, sales director of Kadeer Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd, said, “CHAE is a great opportunity to popularize our local brands, showcase new products and technologies, make the prices more reasonable and enable more people to use high-quality Cixi-made household appliances.” It is reported that this year’s CAHE will center around three aspects, namely, intelligent household appliances, online marketing and branding to create a more inclusive service platform for the household appliances industry.
