Recently, the Market Supervision Bureau has said that according to provincial laws and regulations, some documents about trademark standardization were scrapped. They include “Cixi Regulations of Well-known Trademark Management” and “Cixi Well-known Trademark Recognition Standards and Procedures (Amendment)”.
This clean-up drive is said to meet the objectives and requirements for comprehensively deepening reforms, speeding up the transformation of government functions, further clarify the relationship between the government and the market, and striving to level the playing ground for the market. In accordance with the principle of “whoever made regulations should do the clean-up”, A comprehensive review of regulations concerning the relevant trademark was carried out.
In order to ensure a smooth transition of policy adjustment and reduce losses of market players, , relevant market entities in Zhejiang have stopped using such phrases as “provincial famous brand”, “Ningbo well-known trademark” and “Cixi well-known trademark” for advertising, propaganda, exhibitions and other business activities since April 1st this year. For products with "Provincial Famous Trademark", "Ningbo Well-known Trademark" and "Cixi Well-known Trademark" already in circulation before March 31st are allowed to be sold until September 30th.
