Cixi Culture & Business District is an important area in the process of accelerating urbanization, which will be the culture center and business center of Cixi, as well as the modern city functional cluster of Cixi. It is located in the northeastern corner of New City Avenue and Northern Third Ring Road. As is planned, with an area of 1300 ㎡, the east of it is to the Sanzhao River, the south to the Northern Third Ring Road, the west to the New City Revenue and the north to Zhongheng Road. Taking the advantage of New City Avenue, Chaotang River, New City River and Hangzhou Bay Bridge, we focus on building up a new city center, an urban area combining culture, business and office together, making it the fortune plaza, spirit symble and city parlour of Cixi. The development and construction of Eastern Culture & Business District will be an important part in the process of central city renovation, upgrading and new city urbanization. In the new round central city renovation and upgrading “One three four + X” plan, one refers to the development and construction of eastern Culture & Business District. As is planed, the development and construction of the whole area will be accomplished before the end of 2013. As the processing of the projects, the flourishing of the eastern new city won’t be long. Cixi Culture & Business District is a new waterfront urban space which focuses on the construction of public cultural facilities, and is based on the functions of office, business and living. With an area of 146 hectares, the east of it is to the east bank of Sanzhao River, the south to the Northern Third Ring Road, the west to the New City Avenue and the North to the Zhongheng Road. Culture & Business District will be made up of one center, two axis and five areas. One center refers to the Estuary of Fourth River Central Cultural Area; Two axis refer to the New City Avenue Urban Landscape and the Estuary of Fourth River Waterfront Landscape; Five areas refer to Central Cultural Area, Business Office Area, Comprehensive Commercial Area, Ecological Living Area and Hotel & Club Area.
