Seven companies in Cixi, including CUORI, Handian, Ningbo Cixi Import and Export Holdings, were just listed as “strong and successful foreign-trade companies” by Ningbo Municipal Government.
According to the regulations on significant foreign trade projects released early in March this year, Ningbo is planning to appropriate more resources to leading foreign trade companies with sound business models and great development prospects. This time marks the second listing of strong and successful foreign trade enterprises after the one done in 2013.
Leading trading companies such as Ningbo Cixi Import and Export Holdings and manufacturing companies such as CUORI, Handian, and Hongyi, all entered the list. Handian, as a leading air-conditioner manufacturer, saw its exported AC sales reaching 202,000 units, an increase of 247%."This year, we are actively exploring emerging markets such as the Middle East and Africa, launching a variety of new products to further improve the automation of production lines.""With high quality and highly functional products, Handian has been promoting steady growth in foreign trade", the company's spokesperson said. "As the only Cixi trade-oriented foreign trade enterprise in the list, this is an milestone in the growth of our business", said the spokesperson of Ningbo Cixi Import and Export Holdings. As the city's integrated foreign trade service platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, Ningbo Cixi Import and Export Holdings provides customs clearance, logistics, foreign exchange, tax rebates, credit insurance, financing and other one-stop services to those companies. This year, the company started partnering up with online channels and integrated supermarkets to provide SMEs with adequate business channels and customer resources. The company achieved exports of nearly 1 billion yuan from January to June, up 6% year-on-year.
Ningbo will carry out dynamic management over those strong and successful foreign trade companies. These listed enterprises will stay in the list for three years and enjoy incentives and benefits in terms of tax refunds, customs clearance, trust insurance, foreign exchange, finance and commerce. If the enterprise could achieve the goals regarding import and export from 2020 to 2022, it will receive a one-time bonus of 1 million yuan.
