In recent days, the List of Agricultural “Machine Substitution” Demonstration Units 2020 was released by the Zhejiang Provincial Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department. Two towns in Cixi, namely the Longshan Town and Guanhaiwei Town, are on the List. Since 2020, Cixi has been consolidating achievements of “machine substitution” applied inthe provincial agricultural leading industries for demonstration, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of agricultural mechanization and agricultural machinery and equipment industry, and focusing on the introduction and application of new agricultural machinery and equipment in characteristic industries. Till now, the comprehensive mechanization level of main grain production, cultivation and harvest in the city has reached more than 90%, and the mechanization level of automatic feeding, environmentcontrol, excreta cleaning and forage processing has reached over 92%; 10.66 million yuan of subsidies for the purchase of agricultural machinery at all levels have been granted, benefiting 415 farm households.
