On January 16, the First Cixi News Awarding activity was held in the Cixi Omni-media Center. 68 pieces of news won the First Cixi News Award upon assessment of 10 expert judges from journalists’ associations in Cixi, Ningbo and Zhejiang.

According to the criteria of the Ningbo News Award and Zhejiang News Award, the selection items and basic requirements of this award include 5 major awards, namely the “major theme report Award”, “newspaper works Award”, “radio and Television Works Award”, “New Media Works Award” and “Other Works Award”. In addition, 2assessment groups were set up according to the category of magazine and broadcasting media platform, andaccording to the principle of fairness, impartiality and openness, 13 pieces of works win the first prizes, 22 second prizes and 33 third prizes.

The Cixi News Awarding activity is organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Cixi Municipal Committee and the CixiJournalists Association once a year, aiming at reviewing annual achievements made by news media in Cixi, showing the achievements of the news front in practicing the “four strength” of the strength of legs, eyes, brain and writing, giving full play to the exemplary and guiding role of excellent pieces of news, promoting the news media and journalists to adhere to the correct guidance of news, striving to improve the dissemination, guidance, influence and credibility of news and public opinion, and better serving economic and social development.
