In the morning of March 18, a Mobilization Meeting on the Learning of the History of the Communist Party of China was held by the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference. Chen Jiefeng, secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Present at the meeting, there were also Zhang Jianren, vice secretary of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, Xu Wendong and Cen Jianguo, members of the Party Group and Vice Chairmen of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, Gao Wenwu, a member of the Party Group and secretary general of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Wang Yinv, Vice Chairman of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference.

Chen Jiefeng fully mobilized and deployed the task of carrying out education courses for learning the history of the Party within the system of the Cixi Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference. He pointed out that we should thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the important speech made by general secretary Xi Jinping at the meeting for Party-wide campaign on CPC history learning and education, fully understand the great significance of learning the Party’s history, take root in "red fertile soil", and draw strength fromlearning the history of theParty, further play the special advantages of the CPPCC, highlight the vitality of specialized consultative bodies, pay respect to the history with awe-inspiring righteousness, undertake the responsibility of the times with our original aspiration and mission, show the new look of the CPPCC in the new era with new responsibilities, and serve as a model for our city to take the lead in faithfully implementing the strategy of “making full use of 8 advantages and implementing 8 major measures” and striving to build an "important window", and devoteCPPCCwisdom and strength for celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with outstanding achievements.

Chen Jiefeng emphasized that it is necessary to focus on key points and make clear objectives, link the study of the Party’s history with the study of the history of new China, the history of reform and opening up, the history of socialist development, the history of the United Front, and the history of the CPPCC, combine it with the work of the CPPCC, and carry out the learning and education of the Party’s history with high quality and high standards, so as to promote the work of the CPPCC to a new level on the basis of absorbing the strength of truth and building a solid ideological foundation; that we shouldstrengthen the guidance and overall promotion. By studying the history of the Party, we should remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, put forth advices and offer good strategies, gather mass wisdom and strength, and carry out practical work to solve difficulties and problems, and we should do a good job in being a “favorable adviser and assistant” of the CPC Cixi Municipal Committee and the government, and use high-quality performance of the CPPCC to boost high-quality economic and social development in our city. Meanwhile, we should comprehensively promote the extension of CPPCC consultation work to the grassroots level, help solve problems of grassroots social governance, and constantly improve the people's sense of happiness, gain and satisfaction. It is necessary to strengthen leadership, uphold integrity and innovate, focus on highlighting characteristics of the CPPCC, give full play to the carrier role of "Scholarly CPPCC", "Chairman's Lecture Hall", the open day of CPPCC members’ studio, investigation and inspection, and strive to carry out Party history learning and education activities with characteristics of the CPPCC, so as to ensure successful completion of all tasks on learning and education of the Party’s history.
