The Cixi Social Sports Instructor Training Base settled down in the College of Science &Technology, Ningbo University lately.

Social sports instructors refer to those who engage themselves in skill teaching, exercise guidance and organization management in mass sports activities other than competitive sports, school sports and army sports. They are an important force to develop the sports cause and improve the mass public’s physical and mental health. Especially in the context of national fitness, social sports instructors play an important role with their professional and scientific accomplishment to meet the growing needof the masses for fitness.

The Cixi Social Sports Instructor Training Base in the College of Science &Technology, Ningbo University will explore the mode of cooperation between “governmental units and schools”, make full use of educational resources and talent advantages of the social sports major of the College of Science &Technology, Ningbo University, and train college students majoring in social sports to be professional social sports instructor and help them better participate in social sports instruction and national fitness, so as to further expand the number of teams, optimize talent structure, and improve service quality for the cause of social sports development.

At present, there are more than 5,000 social sports instructors at all levels in the city, and the number is still growing. “For the next step, we will continue to play the role of the base while carrying out training programs for students, do a good job in the training and approval of 3-level social sports instructors, as well as the input of information of and issuance of certificates for social sports instructors, so as to make the training of public welfare social sports instructors develop scientifically, steadily and in a standardized way.” A person in charge said.
