Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Zhejiang Provincial Housing and Urban Rural Development Departmentissued the third batch of central governmentbudget investment plans for government-subsidized housing projects in 2021, and Cixi has won a 12.92-million-yuan state subsidy for the renovation of old residential quarters in the city in 2021.

The renovation of old residential quarters is related to the improvement of the overall image of the city, and also the actual interests of thousands of households. In recent years, Cixi has been actively responding to the call of superior departments to steadily promote the renovation projects of old residential quarters with the principle of “doing practical and good things for the people”.

As is learnt, the projects mainly include the renovation and upgrading of 10 old residential quarters in two sub-districts of Hushan and Gutang, including rainwater and sewage diversion, overhead line sorting, water supply and drainage facilities and fire-fighting facilities, ground parking space, road and greening renovation and upgrading and so on, covering a total area of 296,400 square meters, and involving 2,899 households with a total investment of 36.7 million yuan.

The renovation of old residential quarters is a complex project, involving the interests of every household. In promoting the renovation project, communities in the jurisdiction pay special attention to the aspirations and wishes of the residents, trying every means to obtain the understanding and support of the residents, and strive to make the renovation project a practical project for the benefit of the people and a satisfactory project for the people.
