On July 30, the “Makers in China” SME Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition Cixi Division Finals, guided by the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau and the Ningbo Municipal Finance Bureau, organized by the Cixi Economic and Information Technology Bureau, the Cixi Municipal Finance Bureau, the Cixi Municipal United Front Department (Municipal Overseas Chinese Affairs Office), and the Cixi Municipal Talent Administration Office, and undertaken by the Hangzhou Bay Rim Intelligent Industrial Park, was held in the Hangzhou Bay Intelligent Industrial Park. Among the 122 innovation and entrepreneurship projects collected by the Cixi Division, 12 excellent projects stood out for the final competition. The Ningbo Qunxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd., the Qi’an Technologies, the Ningbo Honorwood New Material, and the Ningbo KCE won the first, second and third prizes respectively in the enterprise group. Meanwhile, 3 enterprises from Hangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing won the first, second and third prizes in the makers group.

The final roadshow was conducted in the form of “8-minute roadshow + 5-minute defense reply”. 5 experts reviewed the overall situation of the comprehensive projects and scored them. Finally, winners were selected according to the scores.

As is learnt, the entries cover digital economy, chip industry, advanced manufacturing, network security, new materials and so on. The award-winning projects enjoy access to supporting policies, such as matchmaking for investment and financing, listing guidance, entrepreneurship services, settlement in the park, talent policy recommendation, “specialized, special and new”characteristic cultivation and so on.
