"After treatment, the river is much cleaner. In the past, mud spots used to float in summer, but now it never happens and more people are fishing along the river. How amazing is the intelligent futuristic tech for water control!" Said residents around the drainage outlet along the Wutangheng River in the Xijie Village, Xinpu Town in an interview. The government introduced a third party to organize and implement the rural domestic sewage treatment project of the Wutangheng River in Xinpu a year ago.
"This intelligent water control futuristic tech is a water control robot. The eyes (sensors) identify sunny days, rainy days, water quantity and water quality; the brain (software) carries out intelligent monitoring, intelligent control and intelligent early warning; with the help of context (various data transmission and communication means), it conveys instructions, and finally discharges the sewage through hands (sewage pump and pipe network) to the sewage plant according to the instructions." Huang Xiaodong, a non-governmental expert who has studied water control for a long time and Chairman of the Ningbo Dianxi Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., said, "the water-control robot makes every outlet 'no water in sunny days, no sewage in rainy days, and no ponding in waterlogged days': it makes every water pipe present hydrological and water quality information in real time to achieve digital supervision; it makes every pump station unattended but more efficient and more intelligent; it makes the sewage treating plant 'eat well in both sunny days and rainy ones'."
The agricultural sewage treatment project along the Wutangheng River, Xinpu Town, selects eight suitable points to install intelligent drainage equipment, and one point to install intelligent drainage equipment (transport version). In addition to the control of the river inlet and outlet, all the sewage discharged by the residents along the river through their own PVC pipes will also be collected and transported to the nearest intelligent outlet diversion pool through PE pipes. The big data platform will scientifically analyze and decide the direction of the incoming water. The intelligent drainage outlet basically effectively collects the sewage volume in this area.
According to the data provided by the Cixi Water Environment Treatment Center, by the end of 2021, the city has installed and operated more than 260 sets, with a total investment of more than 30 million yuan. In case the same pollutants enter the water body, the initial estimate cost of a project for treatment will reach several hundred million yuan. By September this year, 352 sets of intelligent outlets have been installed in Cixi, reducing 44.8 cubic meters/day/outlet of domestic sewage, 90.53 cubic meters/day/outlet of farm food markets, 62.88 cubic meters/day/outlet of industrial parks, and 74.63 cubic meters/day/outlet of sewage from six small service industries. At present, the sewage collection rate of urban drainage pipeline intelligent monitoring and operation and maintenance platform has reached more than 95%; the drainage capacity of the pipelines has also increased by 20% to 30%.
This kind of product integrating digital and green environmental protection technologies has enabled the intelligent treatment of domestic sewage to enter the "fast lane". In just four years, Cixi has achieved full coverage of 17 towns (subdistricts) in the city, including the main roads of the old city, old communities, urban villages, farm food markets, industrial parks, cross section watersheds and so on.
