Yesterday, the First Ningbo Volunteer Clothing Design Competition was officially held in Cixi. After preliminary screening, 29 pieces of work stood out from many entries across the country and entered the preliminary competition.
In the morning on the same day, in the Yafei Volunteer Clothing Innovation Research and Development Base, a volunteer clothing design competition that integrates "beauty in appearance" and "beauty in spirit" was held. "That Blue", "Rainbow White", "Yin Se", "Starfire", "Urban Green Movement"... In front of the electronic screen, with the introduction of the host, pieces of works with bright and distinctive design were presented. The design inspirations are either from the broad sea, beautiful rainbow, or related to "city flower", the natural sceneries in the city of Ningbo, or landmark buildings and traditional culture, displaying the unique ingenuity of the participants.
"In these entries, many designers not only considered the comfort and practicality of clothing, but also incorporated the spirit of volunteer service in the new era into the design of volunteer clothing and accessories, which well reflected a kind of value of the times." Sun Zhijun, an onsite judge and the third-level researcher of the Volunteer Service Division of the Publicity Department of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, said.
It is reported that since the registration of the First Ningbo Volunteer Clothing Design Competition, organized by the Ningbo Civilization Promotion Office and the Ningbo Volunteer Service Federation and hosted by the Yafei Volunteer Service Team, the organizing committee of the competition has received more than 80 pieces of work from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Anhui, Guangdong and other places throughout the country. After the preliminary competition, the shortlisted pieces of work will enter the finals. The first, second and third prizes will be awarded to 10 pieces of work and 50 outstanding prizes will be awarded to 50 pieces of work. Till then, prize winners will be publicized and commended.
