The day before yesterday, the First Extended Meeting of the Managing Director of the Cixi Economic Promotion Council, Shanghai was held in Shanghai. Municipal leaders, including Ma Huanyong, Gao Songyue and Zhou Gao, attended the meeting.

It's pointed out at the meeting that the Cixi Economic Promotion Council, Shanghai has made positive contributions to the economic and social development, and friendship of Shanghai and Cixi under the great attention and care of the CPC Cixi Municipal Committee and the Cixi Municipal People's Government and under the background of connecting with and integrating into Shanghai. In the face of major opportunities superimposed by the "high-speed railway era", "era of Qianwan" and "era of integration of the Yangtze River Delta region", the Cixi Economic Promotion Council, Shanghai should seize the opportunities to create new channels for Cixi to connect with Shanghai; give full play to the advantages of talent pool and extensive contacts, actively offer suggestions, attract talents, and make new achievements for the development of Shanghai and Cixi; as always care about and support the construction and development of the hometown, and more importantly, help our hometown attract investment, and inject new impetus for the transformation and development of the hometown.

The meeting reported the economic and social development of Cixi in 2022, and elected the president, vice president, honorary president, consultant and secretary-general of the sixth session. Hua Jiaping was elected as President of the Council.
