A few days ago, the first agricultural cooperative products e-commerce industry branch of Ningbo was established in the Kuangyan Town. The branch covers 36 types of agricultural products in Ningbo, such as bayberries, grapes, honey pears, etc., with a radiation planting area of more than 120,000 mu.

The Kuangyan Town is one of the main production areas of bayberries in our city. It is also a beautiful town with cultural and tourism characteristics in the province and a model town for the construction of beautiful towns. It has been selected into the list of rural tourism demonstration zone in Ningbo for cultivation. Last year, the town successfully held the opening ceremony of the Cixi Bayberry Festival and the Cixi Bayberry Challenge Arena, and carried out live streaming sales activities such as "Meet Favorable 'Bayberries' to Help Farmers" and so on, driving the online sales of bayberries to more than 50 million yuan.

It is learnt that after the establishment of the industry branch, it will mainly play a role in building platforms, developing brands and smoothing channels. "Building platforms" refers to providing technical guidance to members by organizing investigation, study and training, inviting expert to provide services and so on, guiding agricultural business entities of scale to hire excellent rural e-commerce talents, and improving the capabilities of short video production, live streaming sales, and e-commerce platform settlement and so on. "Developing brands" is based on the e-commerce incubation park of the agricultural cooperative of our city, relying on the e-commerce platform of agricultural products such as the "Online Agricultural Expo" Cixi Pavilion, "Yong Nong Xian" and so on, and combining with the regional public brands such as "Cixi Farmers Preferred", Cixi Bayberry, etc., to encourage e-commerce business units to actively participate in the festival activities such as the online New Year Sales Festival and the online Bayberry Festival, and promote the "cluster" promotion of various agricultural products in groups, and further enhance the popularity of agricultural products in Cixi. "Smoothing Channels" focuses on building an efficient, economic, green and environment-friendly rural e-commerce logistics system. Through docking with logistics companies such as the EMS and the SF Express, we will speed up the introduction of preferential policies for members of the industry branch, strive to build a cold-chain online marketing system of Cixi agricultural products that integrates cold storage, packaging and express delivery, effectively reducing logistics costs of e-commerce operators and improving service quality.

Build beautiful economy and help increase agricultural production and farmers' income. Last year, the Kuangyan Town was successfully included in the list of pilot projects for comprehensive rural reform and common prosperity in Ningbo.
