These days, in the Sino-Thailand Hangwan Industrial Park in Samut Sakhon, Thailand, new factories are under construction. With the completion of these new factories, eight companies from our city will soon settle in the industrial park, ushering in a bustling production scene.

The Zonghan Subdistrict actively explores the construction of "overseas enclaves", promotes the "sweet potato economy", builds new advantages for high-quality development, guides high-quality enterprises to "go out" and expand their businesses, and promotes the development of foreign trade. At present, the first phase of the Sino-Thailand Hangwan Industrial Park project has completed a construction area of 40,000 square meters.

In recent years, in order to integrate into the global market and intense cross-border industrial chains, the demand for powerful enterprises in Cixi to "go global" has increased. The Zonghan Subdistrict has orderly guided enterprises with overseas investment needs to expand their businesses in Thailand. In September last year, the Zonghan Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the Sentai Enterprise Co., Ltd. jointly signed the "Letter of Intent for Cooperation and Co-construction of the Sino-Thailand Hangwan Industrial Park". With the completion of this comprehensive industrial park in Thailand, Cixi enterprises will have a larger development platform for foreign trade exchanges with Thailand. It is reported that the total planned area of the Sino-Thailand Hangwan Industrial Park is about 5,000 acres, with the first phase of construction covering an area of 1,680 mu. Since the start of construction in November 2023, approximately 40,000 square meters of factory buildings have been constructed. As of now, 8 Cixi enterprises have signed agreements to lease a factory area of 80,000 square meters, covering industries such as smelting, machinery, small household appliances, photovoltaics, sports goods, and electrical engineering and so on.

"We will continue to promote the settlement of competitive enterprises into the industrial park and encourage the expansion of enterprises' trade exports of raw materials and end products." A relevant person in charge of the Zonghan Subdistrict said that in order to further tap into the potential of foreign economic and trade cooperation between Cixi and Thailand, the subdistrict will also establish a trade platform company in its jurisdiction. Through the simultaneous operation of the industrial park and the trade platform, efforts will be exerted to enhance the foreign economic and trade strength of the Zonghan Subdistrict and help promote economic development.
