In the morning of March 30, the opening ceremony of the excellent works from the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale was held at the Shanglin Lake Celadon Culture Inheritance Park. Through themed exhibitions, academic seminars, series of lectures, and onsite creative performances by artists, more possibilities for innovative development of ceramic art were shared from multiple perspectives.

The tour exhibition of excellent works from the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale is an international cultural dissemination project supported and approved by the National Art Fund in 2023, with the theme of "Spirit of Porcelain" and the aim of "popularizing Chinese culture and telling Chinese stories well". The touring exhibition selected 100 excellent works from multiple countries and regions around the world from the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale 2021's Competition Exhibition, Special Invitation Exhibition, and Parallel Exhibition, covering ceramic works with different techniques, forms, and styles such as vessels, sculptures, installations, paintings, and images and so on. It comprehensively reproduces the new image of contemporary world ceramic painting art.

The touring exhibition has been held in Longquan of Zhejiang, Foshan of Guangdong, and the Central Academy of Fine Arts successively, receiving high praise. The fourth stop is in Cixi, Zhejiang Province. "Cixi celadon has a long history of development and has made important contributions to the development of Chinese porcelain. The exhibition held in Cixi not only expresses respect, but also opens up cooperation between the Jingdezhen Ceramic University and Cixi in the field of celadon." said Lv Jinquan, a member of the Party Committee and Vice Principal of the Jingdezhen Ceramic University. On that day, the Jingdezhen Ceramic University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shanglin Lake Celadon Culture Inheritance Park. Lv Jinquan introduced that the two sides will cooperate in talent cultivation, academic researches, and other areas to promote close integration of academia and industry, broaden the new channel for the inheritance of the Yue kiln celadon, and promote the innovative development of traditional ceramics.

The exquisite exhibits attracted many visitors to appreciate. Robert, a ceramic artist from Uganda, said: "the exhibition gathers a lot of works from ceramic artists, expressing their ideas through different creative methods, which are very rich in content and interesting." Ms. Zhao, a citizen, said that she can appreciate so many high-quality artworks at her doorstep. "It's like taking a ceramic art appreciation class, and I feel that I have benefited a lot."

The exhibition will continue until April 27, and citizens are welcome to visit.
