Recently, good news came from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China that the Cixi People's Hospital has been selected as a national postdoctoral workstation, becoming the first county (sub-city, district) level hospital in Ningbo to be promoted into a national station. At this point, there are 7 national postdoctoral workstations in Cixi.

In 2019, the Cixi People's Hospital established a postdoctoral workstation. Relying on mobile stations of universities such as the Nankai University, the Xi'an Jiaotong University, and the Wenzhou Medical University, it has now recruited 10 postdoctoral fellows, including 8 full-time postdoctoral fellows, further expanding the scale of high-level talent teams, enhancing scientific research capabilities, and injecting new momentum and stimulating new vitality for the hospital's sustained and rapid development. According to statistics, the postdoctoral fellows cultivated by the hospital have received 2 awards from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 award from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 2 awards from the Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and 3 awards from the Ningbo Municipal Natural Science Foundation. They have published 12 high-level academic papers, authored 1 piece of work, and applied for or authorized 7 invention patents, playing an important role in promoting clinical practice and the transformation of scientific research achievements.

In recent years, Cixi has attached great importance to talent introduction and cultivation, taking postdoctoral talents as an important lever to break through development bottlenecks, stimulate market vitality, and gather innovative elements. On one hand, Cixi has strengthened policy support and continuously improved the funding for research and training of postdoctoral workstations. In the past three years, Cixi has issued more than 14 million yuan in postdoctoral related subsidies, including 1.5 million yuan in subsidies for national station promotion. At the same time, Cixi gathers key groups and prioritizes the inclusion of "large, excellent, and strong", specialized, refined, and innovative enterprises in the scope of creating postdoctoral workstations. Cixi proactively provided one-stop services such as on-site guidance, project evaluation, and application recommendations and so on. In addition, Cixi has further strengthened the introduction of high-end talents, deepened close integration of manufacturing, education, research and application, accelerated the transformation and implementation of scientific research achievements, and helped enterprises solve bottleneck problems. In 2023, 62 postdoctoral fellows applied for a total of 123 patents, helping enterprises solve 70 technical problems and directly creating economic benefits of nearly 100 million yuan.

At present, a total of 26 postdoctoral workstations have been built in the city, and a total of 105 postdoctoral fellows have been recruited. Postdoctoral work has become a golden business card for talent attraction in Cixi.
