Yesterday morning, accompanied by the roar and rotation of pile driving machinery, the construction site of the expansion project of the Cixi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital presented a busy and orderly scene. Workers were racing against time to advance pile foundation work, and the entire construction site was filled with an atmosphere of "speeding up" and striving forward.

As another iconic livelihood project that our city is striving to build, the expansion project of the Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital is located on the south side of the existing hospital area, with a newly acquired land area of 14,700 square meters and a total investment of approximately 570 million yuan. The pile foundation project will be completed in September this year, and the basement structure will be completed in January 2025. The entire project is scheduled to be completed and delivered in August 2026, which will greatly improve the patient's medical environment and enhance the medical experience.

As a well-established Class-II Grade-A traditional Chinese medicine hospital, the Municipal Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has always adhered to the service concept of "patient-centered" since its establishment in 1992, continuously promoting the development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. This expansion project is planned and designed strictly in accordance with the standards of Class-III Grade-A traditional Chinese medicine hospitals and the technical guidelines for emergency medical service points in the Zhejiang Province (trial), aiming to create a modern traditional Chinese medicine hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and health care.

After the completion of the project, supporting facilities such as medical comprehensive building, fever outpatient building, disease prevention comprehensive building, and basement will be added, with a total construction area of 82,400 square meters. Among them, a new construction area of 59,500 square meters will be added, with 600 beds and 473 motor vehicle parking spaces available. With a high-quality medical service environment and famous doctors, departments, and medicines, the hospital will develop and create a traditional Chinese medicine characteristic hospital with outstanding traditional Chinese medicine characteristics, significant clinical efficacy, and demonstrative driving effect, better meeting the needs of the people for high-quality and efficient traditional Chinese medicine services.
