Who says traditional industries must stick to old paths? In the Zhouxiang Town, aged factories are undergoing a profound "metamorphosis", accelerating the intensive and efficient utilization of idle, low-efficiency land (projects).
This year, this industrial hub has combined holistic advancement with targeted breakthroughs, establishing a "1+3+N" working system. Through renovating old industrial zones, revitalizing inefficient land, and restructuring clustered industries, alongside supporting policies, it has injected new vitality into traditional industries. Leading the city in multiple metrics, the town has delivered an impressive "innovation answer sheet". From January to June, the town ranked the second citywide in the "dual rectification" assessment, with three indicators, namely clustered industry upgrades, new floor area for "industrial upward expansion", and revitalized inefficient industrial land, claiming the top spot.
Entering Zhouxiang's industrial zone feels like stepping into a massive "renovation lab": aged factories in central, Er'tang, and Zhenxi areas are undergoing stunning transformations. The town government tracks these projects with "red-yellow-green" progress tags. The "facelift upgrades" of 141.47 mu of old factories have been completed, exceeding targets. Surprisingly, these renovations are not mere "cosmetic touch-ups" but holistic "makeovers"—replanned spaces, fully updated facilities, and industrial evolution. Now, Er'tang's factories have collectively "grown taller"; Zhenxi's key projects are "sprouting upward", and new businesses in the central district are already "bearing fruit".
Zhouxiang has revitalized 233.61 mu of inefficient land using three "secret tactics": "stacking fun" for businesses (industrial upward expansion), "matching games" for resources (stock transfers), and "matchmaking" for factories (leasing). Even smarter, their "Scan-for-Space" platform has successfully "matched" 10 companies, significantly cutting operational costs. The "Zhouxiang Incentive Rules for Industrial Cluster Upgrades", backed by 18 million yuan in rewards, has spurred enthusiasm. 19 upward expansion projects, like the Guangci Medical, the Kefei Electric, and the Jinghao Motor, have mushroomed. Proactively, the town is pioneering a redevelopment mechanism for 2,000+ mu of inefficient land. By categorizing land as "capacity expansion", "underutilized" or "violation rectification", with tailored policies, 69 plots have been addressed, reserving vital space for future growth.
