To actively respond to Typhoon "CO-MAY", under the coordination of the Municipal Railway and Rail Transit Construction Center, construction units involved in the Nantong-Suzhou-Jiaxing-Ningbo High-Speed Railway and the Ningbo Intercity Railway's Kongpu-Cixi Line, including the China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau, the China Railway Seventh Group, and the China Raken Railway, stepped forward, proactively deploying equipment and personnel to swiftly assist in disaster relief efforts, demonstrating their commitment to "standing together through thick and thin".

Affected by the typhoon's outer circulation and persistent heavy rainfall, low-lying areas in the Guanhaiwei Town experienced severe waterlogging, while debris washed down from upstream rivers continued to accumulate, further exacerbating the flood risk. Local equipment was insufficient for rapid clearance. Facing the critical situation, the China Railway Beijing Engineering Bureau urgently dispatched excavators and other machinery for emergency debris removal. Due to the swift currents and heavy rain, the cleanup was extremely challenging. Despite the harsh conditions, the project team successfully cleared dozens of cubic meters of sediment, significantly alleviating downstream drainage pressure.

To accelerate water drainage in nearby villages and communities, the China Railway Seventh Group urgently allocated multiple high-power water pumps, focusing on residential areas with severe flooding to assist the Guanhaiwei Town in expediting drainage efforts. "As the pumps roared and the water level dropped inch by inch, our hearts grew more at ease," said the on-site supervisor. Through continuous high-intensity operations, drainage efficiency improved significantly, effectively reducing waterlogging pressure in the community and creating safe passageways for residents. On the western side of the Chaotang Station along the Kongpu-Cixi Line, parts of the Huchong Highway were submerged under 60 cm of water. Nearby, the China Raken Railway provided emergency support with a drainage vehicle and used excavators to clear drainage ditches, speeding up the process.

In recent years, the Municipal Railway and Rail Transit Construction Center has continuously strengthened its emergency response mechanisms. During the impact of Typhoon "CO-MAY", the center, alongside construction units, mobilized Party members to lead flood prevention and disaster relief efforts on the front lines, fully leveraging their vanguard role to build a solid defense protecting people's lives and property.
